Today we take a look at UTG’s Dragon Claw Clamp On Bipod.  This easy to mount bipod is made of durable aluminum and features folding adjustable arms that lock into place thanks to UTG’s Posi-Lock system.

The arms of the bipod can be extended from 9.5 inches to 11.5 inches, and have specially rubber coated stands to increase the friction between the stands and the surface they contact with for a more stabilized shooting position.

The Dragon Claw Bipod can be used on barrels of 11mm to 19mm. Just close the hinge around the rifles barrel, and use the  adjustment wheel on the bottom of the unit to tighten the bipod to the barrel.

Here we have the Bipod mounted on a Xisico B9-XS1. We noticed that even though the adjustment wheel was fairly tight, the bipod could still be moved  around the barrel.  We were afraid to tighten it much more do to the fact that we didn’t want to rub off the barrel’s finish.  We suggest wrapping the barrel with some type of material to protect the barrel and place the clamp on barrel bipod over that.

Conclusion:

The UTG’s Dragon Claw is an inexpensive bipod that can be used with a variety of rifle barrel sizes.  With its solid construction and adjustable folding arms, the Dragon Claw is great for the shooter that needs a portable and adjustable rest.
